You have a couple of ways to do it, highlight x number of files then drag them over, repeat until all files are done, needless to say this will be a thankless task if you have that much, fortunately I haven't had to move my files, it would take hours lol, the other option is highlight all files, and drag them over, but if there are a lot of files it won't be that quick, you can also use a program called TeraCopy, it's made for such tasks, and claims to ensure there is no corruption, I sometimes find it quicker to move small files without this, but I mention it so you have choices, hope this helps.ĭam my slow typing lol.Ultra Librarian® End User Subscription Agreement a folder named Music or similar, once you have the external drive opened to where you want the files, then open another folder and navigate to where the physical music files are located, the you just drag and drop them from one folder to the other, I use copy as opposed to cut and paste, as the original files are still safe. I take it these are actual music files, not just a playlist or anything, so if this is the case you just need to open 2 folders, the external drive, and decide how and where you want them on that drive, e.g. ![]()
